Yesterday morning there was a struggle -
I don't remember over what. . .
long sleeve vs. short sleeve
oatmeal vs. mini wheats
bed made before breakfast vs. after breakfast
reading before school vs. after school
who knows?
What I do know is he looked at me and said:
(very matter of factly)
"Mom you do know that we won the civil war."
"I have my rights."

That's called being an eight year old. They know everything, hasn't he told you that yet? :) Everything that I say, Dylan immediately follows with "I know". Remember when we were so happy when they said their first word. . .
