"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking the kids to scout camp. I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes from mowing Sister Shenk's lawn. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. Oh my goodness. I am so sick of football I could spit.
I can honestly say, football has not been on in my house at all. Jim doesn't like watching it on tv, yeah for me!
Our husbands and boys would get along great!
Abby told her dad that he had watched too much football and needed to get outside and exercise! I about died! I guess she wanted to go to the park and play or something instead of watching t.v.????? Ahhhh, out of the mouth of an almost 4 year old! I can't wait until football season is over!
Luckily there was only one game that was a must at our house. Boys and their football......Coming from an all girl family I had no idea how important FOOTBALL GAMES can be.
